lyrics

Pole straight and hostile
His eyes bore a hole through solid air
Music bowed bodies
Heat sticks clothes to skin
Have another sip
Pole straight and hostile
The room decides to keep its distance
Eyes strain for contact
Try to form a word
And instead collapse

Spies an inversion
The room circles toward its centre
You know the type
All that black hole charm crushing air from lungs

Do you see?
Eyes protrude throb red so no he don’t; clearly
He sees his pulsating insectoid gut crawl free
Bones pushing against skin

Lights
Lights blaze and ink
This is it
Window panes pool in liquid cresting rings
Flowing molten as paint blisters bursting
Bodies lifting
Watch it burn; a world ending

Pole Straight and hostile
Leave the room for oppressive night
Black hole flares a smoke
Pole straight and hostile
A light to hand

Do you see?
Eyes protrude throb red so no he don’t; clearly
He sees his pulsating insectoid gut crawl free
Bones pushing against skin

Lights
Lights blaze and ink
This is it
Window panes pool in liquid cresting rings
Flowing molten as paint blisters bursting
Bodies fall, lifting

And now tomorrow's caving in
And then the next day's shattering
And then again again it all begins

He waits for an apocalypse to come
Waiting he crawls though his life never certain
Insect inheritance

Lights
Lights blaze and ink
This is it
Window panes pool in liquid cresting rings
Flowing molten as paint blisters bursting
Bodies fall, lifting

And now tomorrow's caving in
And then the next day's shattering
And then again again it all begins
And then tomorrow's caving in
And then the next day's spiraling
And then again again and
Imaginations a wonderful thing
